The Shelden Williams Foundation was founded with a mission rooted in Shelden’s own experiences and passion for providing youth from the communities he calls home with greater opportunities. Shelden serves at the helm of the foundation, leading the visioning and goal setting for all foundation activities.

Shelden’s mom, Jeannette, is the on-the-ground director of all activities of the foundation within Oklahoma City, which has been her home for more than 37 years. Jeannette has a long history of volunteerism with her church, in support of a local domestic violence shelter, and the mentorship of youth at risk of dropping out or academic failure.

The leadership of Shelden and his mother is supported by the nonprofit management team of The Giving Back Fund, a national nonprofit which serves as the fiscal sponsor of the Shelden Williams Foundation. The Giving Back Fund manages more than 50 foundations, with a strong focus on helping athletes and others with a platform for broad engagement to leverage their passions and positions as role models to make a positive impact in their communities.
